How it works
The mirror image of Pointing. If every cell in a line that could hold a digit lies in one box, the digit must be somewhere on that line and therefore ends up inside that box. So the cells of that box off the line cannot hold it.
The line claims the digit for the part of the box it crosses. Pointing and Claiming both look at the same box-and-line overlap, but they clear opposite sides — Pointing clears the line, Claiming clears the box.

In row 2, 6 can only go in R2C5, R2C6, and those cells all lie inside box 2 (marked ●).
6 must go somewhere on row 2, so it is removed as a candidate from the other 3 cells of box 2 (✕).
